However, what if this marriage is not from God. What if the man himself is about to marry a jezebel or delilah? What if the woman is about to marry a man who might be a future murderer? Today, we dive into why every marriage is not God ordained and the dangers of marrying the wrong person.

God takes marriage very seriously when we look at the scriptures today as God created Adam’s spouse from his own rib (Genesis 2:21-23). God created Eve strictly for Adam from his own rib symbolizing God aligning them together. When it comes to the kingdom of heaven, you cannot marry everyone as some people can weigh you down.
Your marriage must reflect Jesus Christ as you and your spouse seek to serve God. The bible even states not to be unequally yoked (2nd Corinthians 6:14) symbolizing how important it is when picking a spouse for marriage. God ordained spouses help to bring you closer to Jesus Christ as a spouse is your help mate in this walk with God.

I and many of you all watch the news or have social media and these types of stories are very common. For instance, a man kills his wife or a woman marries a man just to take half of his money and divorce him. I remember in 2023, there was an article from Dallas where a woman was murdered by her husband and just not too long ago, she had prayed to God for a husband. It is pretty obvious that this man was sent by Satan.
Samson and Delilah
Remember in the bible how Samson was a powerful man of God but then came Deliliah who later deceived him and he lost his power. There are people the enemy will send to try to destroy you especially when you have a deep purpose in God. Satan will know you are christian and will try to find ways to destroy you which is why it is important to always be on guard of who comes around you.

How Satan Tried To Deceive Me With A Counterfeit
A few years ago, I was still in the later stages of being in college. I had just started my junior year of college and I was mainly focused on school and following God. During my time at work, I kept seeing this young woman in my age group as I was in my early 20’s at the time who kept staring at me. She would stare constantly even when I was sitting in my car one day where I looked and saw her staring me down as she was walking looking back at me.
Satan’s Attempt
At first, I paid it no mind as I heard rumours of her being a bisexual woman and this is a massive no with me being a young christian. When I heard these rumours, I just ignored the eye contact she was giving me but still kept it respectful if she tried to talk to me. Then, one day my coworker said I should try to talk to her and get to know her as the rumours might be false. At first, I brushed off what he said but after she kept staring, I started to wonder if the rumours were true and I decided to talk to her.
Satan Almost Got Me
I walked up to get to know her better and found out she was a full blown lesbian. She said I could be her friend but I know the dangers of friendship with an unsaved person as even friendship needs to be equally yoked with a fellow believer in Christ. I walked away and kept my distance. Then, later some of my christian family members said they got a bad vibe from her and I got bad dreams about her as God talks to me in dreams.
Satan almost had gotten me but thank God as I escaped without falling into a sin or ways for the devil to destroy me. However, Satan has used similar tactics like this to destroy lives including the lives of many christians who married the wrong spouse and ended up in misery.
The Importance of Discernment
Discernment is critical especially in these last days before Jesus Christ returns as the devil’s actions are very deceptive. For example, a man may come to you acting nice but be a secret devil beneath the surface. A woman might come to a man acting like she is down to earth but yet carry a spirit of jealousy and anger.
This is why the bible states that God looks at the heart of a man and not the outside appearance (1 Samuel 16:7). Beauty is in vain in which a person’s looks will fade away when they get older which is why it is very important to discern their spirit. Many men just look at a woman’s body along with her face as well as many women just look at a man’s face, height, income but what about his spirit?
Discernment is very important as without it, you can fall for the enemy’s schemes. Satan is looking to destroy many souls these last days. Godly discernment helps you see through a person. You can see through any antics that a person is coming with as not every one who smiles at you is your friend.
Godly discernment can help a woman know that the man who is trying to get her number might have a spirit of murder and might possibly abuse her if they get married. Discernment will let that man know that a gorgeous woman with a curvy body might have a spirit of hatred. Discernment is critical and is a must for every follower of Jesus Christ.

The main way to know if someone is your God ordained spouse is asking God. God is the ultimate matchmaker and God knows what is right for you. When you follow God along with doing his will, God will sometimes reveal your spouse ahead of time. God may reveal your future spouse through dreams, visions, other christians etc.

You ever been with someone who just hates when you bring up the bible as that is a massive red flag. They usually hate the things of God such as going to church, living holy/righteous and spending real time with God.
They love sin as they love smoking, drinking, going to the club. They dislike when you tell them that you have to live for God and you cannot have sinful activities around you. No sex before marriage is a massive way to find out as very few people will wait till marriage as those who usually wait are christians.

To Stop Talking About Jesus So Often

These are just a few examples as there are many more but you get the idea. If they are against the word of God, then get out as God would not send you someone who is against his kingdom. That person is directly from the kingdom of darkness sent to weigh you down, destroying your purpose.
Don’t Rush Marriage
This is one of the biggest mistakes that people make is rushing marriage because they feel lonely. It is better to dwell happily in a single bed than to rush into a relationship with someone who might hurt you physically, mentally, emotionally etc. Rushing into marriage is how Satan is able to catch so many people.
Satan sits back watching many people looking to destroy them so if he sees that you're lonely and desperate, he will send a demonic person in the form of someone nice to hurt you. You are never lonely as you have Jesus Christ with you. A local Holy Spirit filled church with a community will fill your spirit up along with the word of God.
There are christians like the Apostle Paul in the bible who were never married but they had total peace in Jesus Christ while there are married people today who are suffering silently. Rushing does not make your situation better but it can lead you straight into the devil. It is better to wait to get God’s real blessing than to rush and sell yourself short in the end.
